About Magician – Tj Shoesmith
Tj Shoesmith was born in Durham and after a short stay in London his parents moved to Cambridge. This is where he spent the rest of his childhood. He read Psychology at University and then completed a postgraduate course in Drama at The Drama Studio in London.
Tj was a professional actor through the late 80’s and early 90’s. He made several TV appearances. During which he toured Europe and the UK with touring theatre companies. He also played Malcolm in a production of Macbeth in Chile at their Arts Festival.
The London Ambulance Service
In 1994 he joined the London Ambulance Service and served as a paramedic until 2002. He turned professional in 2002 and has made his living through performing as a professional magician ever since.
TJ Shoesmith – success
Tj has worked all over the world, with appearances in Europe as well as South America, Canada, and USA. He has appeared on Cruise Liners and worked at both The Magic Circle in London and The Magic Castle in Hollywood. He has provided magical consultation for both Channel 4 and BBC and won international competitions.
He also has a good reputation on the UK comedy circuit with hundreds of performances up and down the country.
He has appeared on the same bill as Wayne Dobson, Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Richard Digance and many others.
In 2007 he represented The Magic Circle during their centenary celebrations.
TJ Shoesmith a life in Theatre
Tim has been a working performer all his adult life. He was a successful actor and presenter. After a short time out of the profession he returned but this time to work in the corporate sector as a professional magician. He combines his well-honed acting skills with strong and baffling magic to create a totally unique performance.
He performs both close up magic and cabaret for corporate events, wedding and private parties.
